It’s the 2013 Essay Contest of the Federation of Alliances Francaises, U.S.A., Inc.!
Deadline, March 31, 2013, Prize $1,000 – 50/50
($500 awarded to Member Chapter and $500 awarded to the Chapter member’s winning writer) 500 words or less, in French.
Background: As you may recall, or as I have already reminded you, I was president of the Federation in 2006-2007. At that time, the first question from all I encountered was, “What is the difference between the Federation and the Delegation?” So, I wrote on the subject, with the support and approval of Pierre Hudlot, the then Délégué Général.
Fast forward to October, 2012, the Federation’s Convention and Annual Meeting in Providence, RI. At the Mentoring session, 8 AM Friday morning, the first question from the floor was: “What is the difference between the Federation and the Delegation?”
So, it is now your chance to help us better respond to that question.
There are two parts to this essay:
1. What is the difference between the Federation and the Delegation?
2. How can the Federation and the Delegation work together to better serve our Member Chapters?
The deadline is March 31, 2013, the 111th Anniversary of the Federation!
Please email your essay to email@example.com and include your name, your phone number, and your Alliance Francaise Chapter.
