Can we say everything in poetry?

Sunday, October 13, 3:00pm – Conference in French by French poets Isaline Remy and Linda Bastide. The topic of the conference is “Can we say everything in poetry?”

Two French poets, Isaline Remy and Linda Bastide, from Paris will be in Carmel to visit our Alliance.

Isaline Remy is an actress and literary journalist. For more than 25 years, she has had a passion for the arts and letters in their various expressions. She received the prize for Poésie de la Promotion Radiophonique by the Société des Poètes Français. She is currently a writer and critic for La Revue Indépendante and for Le Courrier des Yvelines (culture and recreation weekly newspaper). Her writing is prolific and eclectic, she wrote:

  • Clint Eastwood – Regard d’une femme française, biographie, 2005, Publibook
  • En vers le monde, textes, 2006, Publibook, for which she received the Grand Prix de l’Académie Internationale de Lutèce 2006.

After a career as a model and international actress, Linda Bastide turned to writing. She has published four novels and ten collections of poetry, and received six French literary awards and three international awards. She has created and manages the publishing house Poètes à vos plumes and is responsible for the “Poetry” in the magazine Paris-Montmartre.
