Dr. Stokle will explore several areas of the life of Napoleon, how the events of his early life have influenced his subsequent actions and relationships. Separating fact from fiction, he will explain how Napoleon built his own legend.

Norman Stokle was born and raised in England. He spent most of his life teaching the French, French culture and literature in American universities as well as Paris. He received his Ph.D. from Syracuse University.
