Currently on tour in the United States, Dr. Larissa Noury will stop in Monterey to show us how, from Impressionism to the present day, the realm of haute couture has been inspired by that of Art, as for the great designers Sonia Delaunay, Coco Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Jean-Paul Gauthier. Dazzling projections accompany the comments of Dr. Noury. Sponsored by the Alliance Française of the Monterey Peninsula in partnership with MIIS, this free conference, in English, is open to all. This conference will be 60 minutes long and will be followed by a question and answer session.
Larissa Noury graduated with a PhD in Architecture (St. Petersburg, 1988) and Arts (Bordeaux, 2003). She has published several books on color, architecture and art. She is an artist and colorist. She has created a collection of painted dresses with JM Pujol who worked at the studio of Yves Saint Laurent. She recently presented her film “Dream of Harmony” on new technologies in art. The Art of Larissa Noury is in many private collections and in five museums. She has received numerous awards and has presented in more than 30 solo and group exhibitions both in France and abroad: USA, Australia, Spain, Korea, Malaysia and other countries.
