An exclusive event tailored for our Alliance Française 

The Alliance Française is delighted to offer AF members and their guests a wonderful opportunity to discover, savor and learn about a fine selection of French wines.

Our hosts will be Jeff & Crystal Birkemeier, sommelier and chef, owners of the catering business “Amapola Kitchen & Wine Merchant.” They will host us at their location in Salinas Old downtown so plenty of parking spaces will be available.

Crystal is a graduate of the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu. Jeff was the Beverage Director at Casanova Restaurant where his list was nominated for a James Beard award, and the Wine Manager at the Pebble Beach Company. Jeff is pursuing a Master Sommelier diploma.

Open to our members and their guests, this event will include:

• A selection of six French wines.
• A grazing station with charcuterie, cheese, crudités, hummus, fruits, crackers and more.
• A one hour presentation by Jeff Birkemeier about the winemaking regions of France, with a map and list of the wines.
